KISS

So today for my birthday present to myself I went and saw KISS at the rose garden.

Matt and I got at the Rose Garden a little early and desided to stand around outside of the lines because the lines were long and wanted them to die down as soon as they opened the doors. Well standing around kind of confused some people, we got asked if we were selling tickets a few times and also asked if we were selling pot or if we knew where they could get some. To all there dismay we rejected them. Finally around 6:30 they opened the doors and the madness began. First we had to find the restroom because Matt forgot to go before we left the house and he had been holding it for the last two hours. Then we went out looking for TShirts, lots of crazy people there with face paint that didnt even match the KISS band. We were walking around and BAM right behind us were four girls in leather dressed up very similar to KISS with a group of guys asking to have there picture taken with them. I would have asked too but it wouldnt be very clean to have it on this blog so we left and finished our quest for the shirts.

When we got our shirts we went and took our seats in the 122 section row T chair 11&12. Not the best seats in the house but certainly not the worst.

The opening band was named BuckCherry. Never herd of them

There music consisted of just noise really. Now I am one for the obnoxious noise and crazy antics but these people were just ridiculous. I thought that they would sing one or two songs but no the main singer started off with a shirt and after two songs took it off and started jumping around in his tight leather pants playing the tambourine. Sometimes he got close enough to the edge that he should have fell off. Well long story short one of the guitarists got in a small fight with one of the crowd members and he slightly mooned the viewer. After about an hour they got off and had a 30 min intermission.

Came back to our seats with this as the new stage. Finally the time is about to arrive.

With a few opening explosions KISS had finally arrived. (If you blow up the picture it is actually a really good one)

Well that is all the pictures that are good enough to post. So they started off with a few of there classic songs then some off there new album. Gene few up to the rafters and sang for us as well. The concert ended with about 2 hours of KISS music and explosions. Then came time for the Encore. they came back and played a 30 min encore in which Paul got on a zip line thing and few into the middle of the arena and sang. Then he got back and yelled at a guy in the section above us for bringing a laser pointer to the show. His words i will not repeat.

The night was a great night, one that i wont forget. KISS, explosions, people lighting up inside the Rose Garden, and just good old clean fun. I make a quick video but it wont let me post it so if you want to see it send me an email and i will send it your way.
